Seli is free to browse and free to list. Revenue comes from a single, transparent seller fee.
What costs what
| Fee | Amount | Who pays |
|---|---|---|
| Listing & store | Free | Sellers |
| Seller fee per completed order | 5.5% of order value | Sellers |
| Buyer fee | None | - |
| Delivery fare | Varies by distance/size | Buyer (or seller if they offer free delivery) |
| Pilot payout | 100% of fare | Pilot |
Why the 5.5% matters to you
The fee funds the parts of Seli that protect you: escrow custody, verified pilots, dispute resolution, fraud checks and product trust. There are no hidden markups on your listings.
How the fee is calculated
Fee = 5.5% of the item price (delivery fees are excluded). The remaining amount is your payout once the order completes.
Example: item sold for ₦20,000 → fee ₦1,100 → payout ₦18,900, minus any delivery fee you opted to pay.
Fee refunds
If a full refund is approved, the seller fee for that order is credited back to you automatically. On partial refunds, the fee is adjusted to the final paid amount.
Displaying prices to buyers
Buyers see the item price plus a separate delivery fee line at checkout - always transparent. As a seller, you choose whether to offer free delivery (folded into your price) or charge one.
Price your items as a round number your buyer sees at checkout; the 5.5% affects only your payout, not what buyers pay for the product itself.
