Becoming a Pilot

Becoming a Pilot takes about 15 minutes of forms plus a quick identity check. Here's the full process.

Step 1 - Apply

  • Open the Seli app and go to Pilot.
  • Tap 'Become a Pilot' and choose your vehicle type (motorcycle, bicycle, or on-foot).
  • Enter your details and the service areas you want to cover (e.g., Surulere, Ikeja, Victoria Island).

Step 2 - Verify your identity

  1. Upload your ID
NIN, driver's licence or international passport.

  2. Take a selfie
A clear front-facing photo for the identity match.

  3. Vehicle documents (if riding)
A copy of your vehicle insurance and, where required, your rider's licence.

Step 3 - Complete onboarding

  1. Watch the short delivery tutorial (how to confirm pickup, use delivery codes, and record proof).
  2. Read and accept the Pilot Service Agreement.
  3. Add your payout bank account and confirm the test deposit.
  4. If you ride, we may arrange a short practical check of your bike and road readiness.

Step 4 - Go live

Once approved you'll appear in the job queue and can start accepting deliveries immediately. Approval is usually sent within 24–48 hours.

If your application is rejected

The most common reasons are an incomplete form, an identity check that didn't match, or a city where we're not currently onboarding Pilots. You can re-apply after fixing the issue.

Tip - keep everything ready

Bank account, ID and a selfie with a neutral background make the process much faster. You can pause onboarding and pick it back up later.
