Some items can never be sold on Seli; others may be listed only with approval. Selling a prohibited item leads to removal and account suspension.

|---|---|

Restricted (approval required)
- New electronics above a value threshold - may require proof of purchase.
- Firearms accessories, pepper spray - evaluated case by case.
- Age-restricted items (e.g., some supplements) - need a verified adult account.
- Brand-new items being sold under a named brand - may need proof of authorisation.
How approval works
When you list a restricted item, we review it before it goes live. You'll receive a decision by message. If it's declined, we'll say why and you're welcome to remove or amend the listing.
If you're not sure
When in doubt, ask. Start your listing and pick 'Not sure if this is allowed' - we'll check it before it's visible. Zero-risk option: email support@seli.com.ng first.
Consequences of violations
Prohibited listings are removed immediately. Serious or repeated violations lead to suspension, and we co-operate with law enforcement where required by law.
Listing a product under a false name to bypass these rules (e.g., calling a vape a 'diffuser') is a policy violation. If you see it, report it.
