Every listing on Seli Market must meet basic quality and compliance standards. These rules keep the marketplace honest, safe and easy to search.
Required for every listing
- At least one clear, original photo of the actual item. Listings without a photo are not allowed.
- An accurate title describing the product (brand, model/type, size/colour where relevant).
- A truthful description of what's included, the condition, and any flaws.
- A real selling price in naira, inclusive of any delivery fee you choose to charge.
- The correct category.
Photo and video standards
- Use natural, well-lit photos where the item fills the frame.
- Video is optional but strongly recommended - products with video convert better and rank higher in the feed.
- Watermarks from other marketplaces are not allowed.
- Photos must be JPEG or PNG. Videos must be MP4.
Authenticity and condition
You're responsible for describing your item accurately. Items must be genuine - do not sell counterfeits described as authentic. For used items, state the condition honestly and show any wear in photos or video.
What happens if a listing is rejected
Listings that break these rules are removed or flagged. Repeated violations can lead to your store being suspended and your payout holding. If you believe a removal was a mistake, reply to the notice you received or contact support.
Items you can't list
Some categories are never allowed on Seli. Visit Prohibited and Restricted Items for the full list before you publish.
Don't group multiple unrelated items into a single listing. Buyers expect exactly what's described. Sold as one? Say so clearly.
