Delivery codes and proof-of-delivery records are how Seli keeps deliveries honest for everyone - you, the buyer and the seller.
What is the delivery code?
A 4-digit code generated per order. The buyer sees it in their order screen, and you ask for it at drop-off. Entering it proves the buyer physically received the item.
Two kinds of proof
| Type | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery code | Given by the buyer at drop-off for most orders | Confirms the buyer received the item personally |
| Handover photo | Photo of the delivered item recorded at drop-off | Evidence of the item reaching the location |
| Pickup video/photo | Recorded at collection | Proves you collected the right item from the seller |
What if the buyer doesn't have the code?
Help them find it
The code is in the buyer's app under the order. Walk them through it if needed.Verify identity
If the buyer can't find the code, confirm their identity (name on the order + phone number) and use the 'confirm without code' option.Record proof
Always take the handover photo in this flow - it replaces the code as your proof.
Why proof matters for your earnings
Orders you complete with full proof are final. Orders completed without proof can be disputed, and disputed deliveries may delay your payout while we review the evidence. Consistent proof protects your rating too.
Never enter a code or record proof without actually delivering the item. Faking delivery records is a serious violation and leads to permanent deactivation.
