Your safety comes first. Here's how to protect yourself on the road and where to go when you need help.
Safety on the road
- Wear a helmet whenever you ride - no exceptions.
- Keep to speed limits and watch for large vehicles; most delivery collisions happen at junctions.
- Secure your phone on a proper mount so you're not distracted while riding.
- Carry items in a closed bag or box so nothing is visible to thieves.
- Trust your instincts - if a pickup location seems unsafe, skip the job.
At pickup and drop-off
- Share your live location with a trusted contact as you ride to risky areas.
- For high-value orders, agree an inside-lobby handover instead of the open street.
- Never accept requests to 'just leave it and go' without recording proof in the app.
Getting help from Seli
- Support chat - in the Pilot dashboard for delivery-specific issues.
- pilots@seli.com.ng - for applications, earnings and account questions.
- Emergency - for an urgent on-road situation, notify in-app and call the local emergency number first.
Reporting a safety concern
If a buyer or seller behaves threateningly, end the delivery safely, record what happened in the app, and report the person through Reporting a User. We review reports and take action without exposing your details.
Don't deliver to unverified addresses alone
If a drop-off address looks empty or unverified and the buyer won't confirm their identity, follow the 'confirm without code' flow and contact support before finalising.
