Creating a Listing from a Photo

The fastest way to sell on Seli: photograph the item, and Shemi builds the listing for you.

The Shemi flow

  1. Open Shemi
In the Seli app, go to Store → 'Create listing' → 'With Shemi AI'.

  2. Add a photo
Take a new photo or upload one from your gallery. One clear photo is enough.

  3. Let Shemi work
Shemi reads the photo and drafts a title, description, category and suggested price.

  4. Review the draft
Read what Shemi wrote. Check the facts - size, condition, brand - and fix anything that's off.

  5. Adjust or ask
You can edit any field directly or type an instruction like 'Make the title shorter' or 'Mention it's barely used'.

  6. Publish or save
Publish straight to your store or save as a draft to edit later.

Best photos for Shemi

  • Plain background, single item, well lit.
  • Capture the whole item; zoom if there's an important detail (logo, size tag, defect).
  • Avoid watermark and messy backgrounds - shemi's quality (and buyers') drops with clutter.
  • JPEG or PNG photos work best.

How accurate is the suggested price?

Shemi estimates prices from the item's category, condition and typical Seli Market prices. It's a smart starting point - adjust based on what you paid and the real condition of your item.

What Shemi never does

Shemi won't fabricate facts about your item: if details aren't visible, it leaves them out or asks you. It also refuses descriptions for prohibited items - see the list.

You're always in control

Nothing Shemi creates gets published without your review. Every draft is clearly yours to edit, expand or rewrite.
